Springbok Lodge

I recently had the pleasure of  experiencing the Springbok Lodge first hand while photographically showcasing its luxury and wonderful uniqueness in the Nambiti Big 5 Game Reserve in Northern KwaZulu Natal. The lodge features luxury tented accommodation in an ultimate African bush experience due to the lodge being unfenced and thus the game roam free through this region of the reserve. All tents are equipped with kingsize beds, a free-standing bath which gets prepared with warm foam bath for you once you return from your evening game viewing experience … or you may even wish to shower under the stars in the outdoor shower.

Back at the lodge, the catering is of the highest standard overseen by lodge managers Brett and Wendy and prepared by first-class chef, Bongani. Below you’ll notice the starter, main course and dessert prepared for the second evening’s intimate dinner for 2 set before the fireplace in the main lounge. Bongani’s plating skills are superb and as we all know how we initially eat which our eyes so when the meal put before us looks so sensational then we’re that much more eager to tuck in.

For enquiries and bookings contact their office on +27 (0) 36 637 9604. This lodge, as well as the smaller and more intimate Elephant Rock Lodge, is marketed to the corporate travel industry by KG Agency.

  1. That B&W star trail image is amazing! I love the shot across the bath and your food photography of course is sensational. These images certainly all ‘sell the dream’, you make the place look fantastic, heck just looking at them I know I want to go and enjoy life here so that certainly means it’s another job done well. Awesome stuff Grant.

It’s a pleasure Wendy – I really had an ideal canvas with which to work and so the imagery just tell a story of how wonderful the place really is.

  4. Grant what you have caught on film is captured forever. Grant you have captured things that will be remembered long after you have forgotten. What a fantastic result. Well done. Take Care
