This post is so long overdue! But so necessary as a resort as special as Montusi Mountain Lodge, in the idyllic area of the Northern Drakensberg, deserves to be featured. The Amphitheatre in the Northern region of the KZN Drakensberg holds a special place in my memories as I have spent many weekends since childhood hiking in the area. Montusi Mountain Lodge is a family owned and operated resort offering with 16 catered and 6 self-catering chalets providing luxury and tranquility in the Drakensberg. But even in the self-catering chalets I recommend booking a few meals in the restaurant as the dining is quite sensational and of the highest standard – some images below to give you a taste of what to expect! The focus of this particular showcase was to update their image library with the two new executive suites located at the top of the property with amazing views of the Amphitheatre from the verandah and bedroom.
