MSC Opera

Ocean cruising is one of the most fascinating things to experience. During a recent aerial showcase of a bulk carrier at Maydon Wharf in Durban Harbour, we routed back over the MSC Opera. This vessel is a cruise ship built in 2004 and currently operated by MSC Cruises. She can accommodate 2,055 passengers in 856 cabins, and host a crew complement of approximately 740. Many of the staterooms on MSC Opera feature private balconies all supremely comfortable to create an ambiance of elegance and joy of living. Displaying the hallmark Italian style found on all of MSC Cruises’ stately ships, the public areas are enhanced by a sweeping marble reception area and magnificent open spaces with glass walls in order to best exploit the fabulous ocean views. She mostly cruises North from the Durban port to the Portuguese Islands off Mozambique.

On this occasion the Opera was to be a party ship for the 5FM event OhShip! with some of South Africa’s top DJ’s onboard. Below you’ll notice the passengers were boarding for their 3 night party experience.
